Residential - Airflow Badge Details
Objective
Participants in the Residential Certification for Airflow will understand airflow performance in residential HVAC systems. They will be able to use appropriate tools to measure and adjust air flow to deliver system efficiency, system reliability and comfort for the homeowner.
Competencies
- Understand airflow characteristics & dynamics.
- Understand duct systems, grills, registers and diffusers.
- Measure duct pressures.
- Measure air volume in CFM.
- Understand applications in duct design and installation.
- Demonstrate the proper use of appropriate tools and test instruments.
